ISAAK SWIMMING

Swimming!

As part of action, on the 25th of September, I was chosen to take part in the ISAAK Swimming gala at my school where we would compete against other international schools in Uganda. The gala was for the whole day and it was quite fun. I have taken part in many galas before but this was my first one in a long time, so I was a bit scared as I was out of shape! I was chosen to do 4 races-2 individual and 2 relays. I was quite scared for my individual races as they were long ones, one being the individual medley, it is quite a terrifying race so that made me a bit nervous as I had not competed in quite a while. I ended up coming in 4th place, some people might not think that that is good but I was quite proud of myself as the individual medley is one of the hardest races. Overall, I enjoyed the gala as it helped me to develop my skills and show commitment to the activity instead of just giving up when faced with a challenge. It was a good experience and I look forward to doing other galas in the future!
